VSD's Hounds & Heroes: Dog Easter Egg Hunt Presented by Ent

Get ready for a day packed with egg-citement, wagging tails, and paws-itively great fun at Hounds & Heroes: Dog Easter Egg Hunt — a Colorado Springs dog event you and your pup won’t want to miss.

Dogs will sniff out treat-filled eggs in two hunt waves — one for small pups and one for big dogs — giving every four-legged friend a chance to join the fun. Along the way, enjoy local vendor booths, learn how service dogs change lives at our mission table, and stop by the photo booth to capture memories with your favorite furry friend. We will also be cooking up hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill. We have covered seating in two pavilions for your comfort. There will be plenty of chances to win prizes throughout the event either hidden in eggs as well as raffle giveaways.

We’re thrilled to launch our inaugural hunt and hope you’ll join us as we start a new spring tradition your family — and your dog — will look forward to year after year.

🐶 Step 1: Choose Your Hunt Wave

We’ll have designated Small Dog and Large Dog waves to keep things safe and fun for everyone.

We will have a special wave for kids only

And a special wave for VSD Alumni and active clients with their service dogs.

🥚 Step 2: Sniff & Collect

Walk your dog through the hunt area as they sniff out treat-filled eggs hidden throughout the field.

🧺 Step 3: Bring a Basket

Please bring your own Easter basket (or bag) to collect your dog’s eggs.

🎉 Step 4: Celebrate!

After the hunt, stick around for vendors, photo ops, giveaways, and community fun.
